Dr. Daniel E. Thomas

Dr. Thomas founded Northland Eye Care in 2003 with the goal of building the extraordinary eye care practice in Northern Arizona. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. earning his B.A. in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College in 1991. He went on to earn his doctorate degree in 1995 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia completing an internship at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Hampton, VA. As a member of VOSH he has made numerous trips to Guatemala to provide eye and vision care to people in this beautiful country who can neither afford nor obtain such care.  He enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, and skiing with his wife and two daughters

Heidi M. Hipsher, Licensed Dispensing Optician

Heidi Hipsher is our board certified Optician. She has over 20 years of experience working at the offices of Eye Associates of South Georgia and National Vision Associates. She joined Northland Eye Care at our opening in 2003. Heidi is a State Board Licensed Optician and is American Board of Opticianry Certified and National Contact Lens Examiners Certified. She is also our Office Manager.

Angela M. Laman, Optometric Technician

Angela was born and raised in Phoenix. She moved to Flagstaff in 2008 and is currently studying Exercise Science at NAU. Her hobbies include running, hiking, yoga, and photography.

Kimberly A. Patton, Optician, Front Desk

Kim joined our practice in August 2011.  She is a life long Flagstaff resident.  She enjoys bowling and loud music.. Rock On!

Donald W. Hipsher, Optician

Don came to our team at the end of August, 2010. He is a locally grown, graduate of Flagstaff High School in 1970. Prior to entering the optical profession, Don retired from the U.S.Army with 20 years of service. He has 14 years of experience in the optical field and is ABO and NCLE certified.
