"My Eyes Get Really Dry!"

The comment above is the most common complaint I hear from our patients. The high altitude and dry air of Northern Arizona make this area one of the worst for dry eye problems... In an attempt for relief, many patients frequently use "artificial tears" which give little or no relief.

There are better alternatives for dry eye treatment that most patients are not aware of which can provide significant, long term relief without the hassles of using artificial tear drops. Using what is referred to as a "Tear Saver", which is like a small "drain plug" we can preserve the natural tears on the surface of your eyes. Using Tear Savers are quick, painless, and non-surgical and the procedure is performed in our office. They often provide an almost immediate increase in contact lens comfort.

Another recent development is a prescription eye drop called Restasis which is used only twice a day and increases the volume and quality of tears that the body produces providing all day relief.

In order to introduce you to these great alternatives, Northland Eye Care is offering a free dry eye evaluation and consultation to all of our patients who suffer with dry eyes. This 10 - 15 minute office visit allows me to evaluate your symptoms and your tear system to decide which treatment is best for you. Simply mention this offer to take advantage of it.
