Northland Eye Care: Our Practice: About Our Site

Northland Eye Care's web site is part of Wolf-Net, a web community developed by Wolfen's Eye Design in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Wolf-Net community includes animal rescue groups and select businesses in the area. The site is developed in Macromedia's Dreamweaver using a combination of HTML, Javascript, CSS and Cold Fusion.

Special attention is given to modern web standards, which allows the site to run on a wide variety of browsers, including Internet Explorer 5.0 for Windows and later, Netscape 6.0 and later, Mozilla Firefox (all versions), Safari 1.0 and later, and Internet Explorer 5.2 for Mac. All pages are W3C validated XHTML. Hosting is provided by CrystalTech, an extremely popular and capable hosting company based in Phoenix, Arizona.

In order to access all the features of this site, you must have Javascript enabled in your browser. Downloadable documents require Adobe Acrobat Reader, as well. Wolfen's Eye recommends the browser Firefox, due to its superior security and vastly improved browsing experience over Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Firefox is also open source software, which makes it free.

The basic design of this site was inspired by Full Ahead's fine Softened Cells template. The menu system is based off of the Son of Suckerfish Dropdowns article at HTML Dog.
